Additional Days $275 added to 3-day or weekly rates. Week prior to Christmas is at $1695.00 rental rate for the week. Major holidays including 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s have a 7 night minimum and pre-set weeks depending on when the holiday falls. For major holidays and July rentals 100% of rental fees and taxes are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable if cancelled unless re-booked. Memorial and Labor Day holidays will be charged the same rate as June or August. Rental Fees are all inclusive. Add 12% for Local Sales and Occupancy Taxes. The evenings are perfect for family gatherings around the fireplace. Rise at your leisure and start the day with a hike along the mountain creek trails. The vacation cabin comes fully equipped with linens (1 king in master bedroom, 2 queens in private bedrooms, 2 double futons bottom bunks with 2 twin top bunks and 1 queen sleeper sofa in large sleeping/TV room and 1 double futon in loft off of master bedroom), TV / VCR, satellite, games, phone service, and much more.
After dinner, the group can sit in the spacious living room, newly furnished with rustic burnished leather furniture…. Completing the “picture” of your ideal Great Smoky Mountain vacation.
If you desire home cooked meals, the Walch Smoky Mountain Creekside Retreat's gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils, plates, glassware, pots, pans and major appliances (extra large refrigerator and freezer with ice maker, gas-top stove, large electric oven and microwave, and dishwasher). Also available full laundry facilities.
Sit down meals can be held in the dinning room which seats eight comfortably. The wrap around deck with it's many tables, chairs and gas grill allows for some great barbecuing while enjoying both mountain and creek views. Star gaze while toasting marshmallows around the campfire ring.
For a little privacy and a getaway, you can retire to the cabin's master suite to read a book, listen to the C.D. player, take a quick nap, soak in the Jacuzzi tub or to watch your own TV program --- while the "group" are watching their "game" downstairs.
Relax in the loft area just outside the french doors of the master bedroom. The futon creats extra sleeping for two.
Our “Creekside Retreat” Log Cabin Game room has everything your group would need. It is furnished with standard Ping Pong Table, Pool Table, foosball and board gaming table.
So whether you relax in the hot tub, have a friendly competition in the game room or just enjoy the sound of the Creek, our Creekside Rereat Log Cabin will meet all your vacation needs.
From the bunk room to the game room is as easy as walking through the door. This downstairs bunk room is a great place to hang out and for additional sleeping. There are two futon bunk beds which are singles on top and full sizes on bottoms plus a sleeper sofa.
Picture you and your guests, after a hard day's vacationing - with your cool drink in hand enjoying the hot tub while you overlook the scenic creek from the wrap around deck or lounge in the hammock listening to the natural sounds of the Smoky Mountains.
The roads around "Creekside Retreat" follow bold streams and the sounds of waterfalls are never too far away. Hike 2 miles from our cabin down Reservation Road to our community's " spectacular waterfall".
Head down the hill to the creek and enjoy the wooded setting and the sights and sounds of the creek flowing by.

This is a view of the Smoky Mountains in early October from the our roadway. Autumn in the Smoky Mountains is a special time. Our guests spend much of thier time exploring the many splendid natural wonders of the area. Located near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains midway between Maggie Valley and Cherokee, the Walch Smoky Mountain Creekside Retreat is well situated as your "base camp" from which to plan your trips.
The roads around "Creekside Retreat" follow bold streams and the sounds of waterfalls are never too far away. During late September through October, the leaves change from day to day. They change with the decreasing light, humidity and temperature. From your base camp, you can travel up in elevation to the Blue Ridge Parkway or down in elevation to see the leaves at their best.
